Awkwafina

Awkwafina was an American performer and actress. She began by releasing hilarious, intelligently composed music that tackled issues like racial identification and sexuality. Then she expanded her fans to Hollywood. Nora Lum is the daughter of Chinese and Korean parents in Forest Hills Queens. The trumpet was the first instrument she played for her. After classical and Jazz training, she delved into hip-hop when she was an teen. In her studies, she majored in journalism, and women's studies in college even learning Mandarin in Beijing for a stint. After graduating, she began to focus on music. Following her viral success via the Internet the My Vag song My Vag was a reaction to the Mickey Avalon song My Dick. It eventually appeared on the debut album Yellow Ranger. It also included other viral hits like the body-positive Queef and winking hometown tour NYC BitcheUSD. The final track was connected directly to Awkwafina's NYC travel guide released in the year 2015. She decided to pursue a career as an actor following the completion of her previous two ventures as a musician and author. Her film credits include films such as Neighbors 2, Storks as well as Bad Rap. Her breakthrough came in 2018 with a few high profile films, including Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. Her EP came out, in Fina We Trust in June of that year.
